Life is too short to make people like you and talk to you, so better live it with the people who are already around you, always there for you, no matter what the circumstances are.

Throughout our lives, we as humans are in want of getting more things. Sometimes, the urge of getting more gets so big that it is no more just about things. Rather, it culminates in seeking appreciation, attention, and love from others, turning one into a people-pleaser. It is then that we even start wanting more people to like us, to talk to us, or to be with us. But, while doing this, we forget the ones who have been with us throughout the journey.

People run behind the ones who do not even want to stay close to them, putting much of their energy in the wrong place. They start believing, that the ones they might have a brief conversation with or the ones who looked like you could be good friends, must have stayed with them forever. But, things are not always happening to be good and in your favor. It is natural and perfectly fine for everyone not to reciprocate.

The sooner you realize this, the happier you can be. Chasing someone not willing to be with you not only brings sadness but leads one to lose their self-worth and respect in the process of making others love them. The same time and effort, if put in spending time with people around you, in loving the ones looking to be with you, would bring much more happiness in one’s life.

It’s important to not forget to respect what we have for what we don’t. The more you chase, the more you go far from them, and even the ones who were already there for you!
